Our journey to innovate the AirBar began with our team’s lived experience in the transport industry. We’ve personally faced the dangers & daily risks of working in the live lane of traffic, including both numerous near misses & actual physical contact with passing vehicles.

Sadly our experience is shared amongst many industries, including for instance, a recovery team rescuing your broken-down car, paramedics attending a road crash, highways crews maintaining the carriageway, lorry drivers offloading deliveries, or council workers clearing litter. And together they all share one thing: they work to help others on our road network while putting themselves at risk.

Too often, other road users fail to recognize this danger, driving too close and failing to give roadside workers the space they need. Tragically, this negligence can cost lives. In the UK, every 17 minutes, someone is killed or seriously injured on the roads—and roadside workers are among those paying the price.

At NuVech Solutions Ltd, we used our lived experience to drive innovation. We created the AirBar—a visible warning system that encourages other road users to move over, creating a safer zone between operatives and live traffic. It’s not just a product; it’s a solution born from firsthand knowledge of the risks.

But our commitment to improving road safety doesn’t stop at the product. For us, customer care is an ongoing commitment. Recently, we revisited our AirBar installation on Univar Solutions trucks—four years after they were first fitted. That’s what going the extra mile means to us: ensuring our solutions continue to protect our customers long after the initial sale.
